Nufaika Sacco Society Ltd., formerly known as KICOWO (Kirinyaga Council Workers) SACCO Society Ltd. registered in 1974 to offer savings and credit services to workers of the former Kirinyanga County Council, Municipal Council of Kerugoya/Kutus and Town Council of Sagana/Kagio who were the founders.

In May 2013, the Sacco changed its registered name to NUFAIKA SACCO SOCIETY LTD.

It also amended its by-laws in order to accomodate members who are nor employees of County Government of Kirinyaga as one of the means for growth and expansion.

The Sacco operates both back office (BOSA) and front office (FOSA). We are licensed by SASRA to operate as a deposit taking business.
